Project Description:
Dr. Ana Monteiro is investigating the role of endothelial damage as a unique endotype that contributes to worse outcomes in Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). She utilizes serological, transcriptomic and clinical data to evaluate contributors to worse outcomes in ARDS. She hopes to identify niche patient groups that may best respond to therapeutic targets aimed at protecting vascular integrity.
