What is Federal Work-Study?

Federal Work-Study is a federally funded program that enables students to earn money for college costs through part-time employment. The federal government pays a portion of the students’ wages and the employer pays the balance.

The UCLA Work-Study employer portal contains information on how to advertise for and hire an undergraduate work-study student for on-campus and off-campus jobs. Job postings for the academic year are typically submitted from late summer to early fall.
