The Nano and Pico Characterization (NPC) Laboratory at CNSI provides a unique collection of analytical and imaging tools along with expert technical support to enable the physicochemical characterization of nanomaterials and systems under a wide range of applications and experimental conditions. Technical capabilities include surface analysis by Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM); hydrodynamic size and surface charge analysis by Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) and Zeta Potential (ZP) measurements; elemental and chemical analysis by Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES) or Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS); mechanical analysis by Rheometer. The NPC team provides core services including: (1) consultation for effective decision-making based on your needs, (2) application-specific training and assisted measurements, (3) sample preparation (e.g., acid digestion) and sample analysis.
