Dr. Economides is co-inventor of the Cytokine Trap technology, which led to the development of the IL-1 trap biologic drug, and has been spearheading development of new methods for the generation of transgenic mice, using BAC as transgene vector. He's also pioneered a new method for generating conditional alleles.
