Clinical Research Finance

The Clinical Research Finance Team within the DGSOM Dean’s Office and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) facilitate clinical research study intake through UCLA’s clinical research management system, perform Medicare Coverage Analysis, and budget development for studies conducted at UCLA (Health System). Nationally recognized as a thought-leader and best practice model, UCLA’s Research Finance Team provides services that include the development and negotiation of compliant clinical research budgets pursuant to Federal, State, and local laws, regulations and UCOP and UCLA policies. The Clinical Research Finance Team strives to provide industry-leading financial services that facilitate rapid study activation, while mitigating clinical research billing compliance risk, particularly those associated with the Federal False Claims Act and associated multi-million dollar fines and settlements.
