Training Grant Guidelines

Participating faculty, mentors, and preceptors are terms that refer to personnel on training grants available to provide training to trainees. Their training and research experience informs a significant amount of the application, particularly within the Data Tables, and thus should be carefully considered. Biosketches are required for each of these individuals, and while a Personal Statement is not required, it is highly encouraged that they be included and highlight the mentor’s experience with the following key elements:

• Training and mentoring
• Promoting an inclusive and supportive scientific environment
• Providing instruction in scientific rigor
• Aiding trainees in transitioning into research careers

Note: All mentor biosketches must be combined into a single PDF (excluding PD/PI).
