Project Title/Research Interests: Delivering Preventing Health Services through Health Fairs: A Clinical-Community Partnership in Los Angeles County

Background:
Ms. Olmos is currently working on completing her dissertation, which is focused on the evaluation of an innovative delivery model of clinical preventive services. The model takes the form of an urban health fair program organized by a non-profit health system in Los Angeles with the collaboration of thirty-seven faith-based organizations. The dissertation also examines the development of the clinical-community partnership between the health system and the faith-based organizations to identify and understand components of the partnership that may be replicable by other health systems looking to promote and increase the use of clinical preventive services beyond the clinical setting. Ms. Olmos’ long-term goals include conducting and directing in-house quality improvement, evaluation, and implementation research for a large health system and being able to see the results of that research quickly implemented or applied.
