Project Title/Research Interests: Implementation, Validation, and Improvement of Electronic Case Reporting (eCR) for COVID-19

Background:
Rebecca earned her BA in Biological Sciences from Cornell University, her MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Minnesota, and an MA in Latin American Studies from New York University.  She has been an Epidemiologist, Program Evaluator and Public Health Researcher in the public sector for over 10 years working at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, City of Minneapolis Health Department, Minnesota Department of Health, City of Berkeley Health Department and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.  Most recently, she has been a Chief Epidemiologist with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health in Acute Communicable Disease Control, conducting and supporting surveillance efforts, including for COVID-19 and monkeypox, and leading the agency's data modernization efforts.
