Project Title/Research Interests: Substance Use-Related State and National Policy, Disparities in Access To Care, and Peer-Delivered Health Care Services

Background:
Kendall has an MS in Science and Technology Studies (STS), an interdisciplinary field that examines the sociopolitical dynamics of science, technology and medicine. Her research interests include substance use policy, disparities in access to care, and peer-delivered services. Her STS background has led her to attend to how expertise is valued in health care policymaking. Since 2017, she has also worked as project director for UCLA’s evaluation of the California Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Expansion Project.
