UC BRAID, a health research collaboration across five University of California medical campuses with CTSAs, held its 2018 UC BRAID Retreat on October 2-3, 2018 at the UCLA Luskin Conference Center. Steven Dubinett, chair of UC BRAID and director of the UCLA CTSI, and Rachael Sak, director of UC BRAID, co-hosted the event. With over 80 registrants, participants engaged in cross-discipline round tables focused on preparing for new recruitment strategies, study designs, and health technology and data. Attendees also heard updates on innovative cross-UC collaborations and shared resources.

UC BRAID stands for University of California Biomedical Research Acceleration Integration & Development. UC Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco formed the consortium in 2010 to develop a shared infrastructure that accelerates research to improve health.
