CTSI KL2 Scholar Siwen Hu-Lieskovan Receives Stand Up to Cancer Award to Study Drug Resistance

Dr. Hu-Lieskovan, an assistant professor of medicine, hematology and oncology at UCLA, received the Phillip A. Sharp Innovation in Collaboration Award from Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C) to fund her work using genomics to better understand how melanoma and other cancers become resistant to immunotherapy. She and her collaborator, Dr. Rene Bernards of the Netherlands Cancer Institute, will receive $250,000 over two years to conduct their research.
