Cedars-Sinai Cancer has designed a Career Development Award Grant Writing Course (formerly K-Club) for all postdoctoral scientists, fellows, and junior faculty in all areas of research who are planning to apply for a Career Development Award. The program consists of a set of workshops for the different parts of the grant and structured reviews by experienced mentors and focuses on writing a mentored Career Development grant for submission during the upcoming grant cycle(s). The course may be offered up to three (3) times per year and the course schedule will be based on application due dates (new submissions). The class will meet every week for ten (10) weeks, ending with a mock study section.
The next Career Development Award Grant Writing Class is scheduled to begin on July 8, 2020 for the October to December 2020 career grant submission deadlines. If you know of any basic, translational, clinical, or population scientists who are interested and could benefit from this program or if you are interested in participating, please contact Katrina Sy (firstname.lastname@example.org) no later than June 22, 2020.
For questions or concerns: please reach out to Stephen J. Freedland (email@example.com) .
If you are a grant-funded senior researcher and would like to serve as mentor, please let us know. We welcome your participation!
