The mission of the UCLA Center for Behavioral & Addiction Medicine is to advance the prevention and treatment and treatment of chronic illnesses, especially in communities with health disparities. Our research efforts include clinical trials of anti-addiction medications and HIV prevention interventions. The Project Director will oversee staff at multiple sites in the execution of day to day operations of clinical trials. S/he will assist with protocol design and implementation and will ensure that study targets are being met. S/he will lead regular meetings to review progress and troubleshoot problems.

Implementation Scientist

PHFE/DHP is seeking an Implementation Scientist for the Reducing Childhood Obesity Project. The Implementation Scientist will be responsible for planning, designing, conducting, and leading original research and evaluation related to the Project’s community setting initiative including cost analysis, prevention effectiveness analysis and modeling, health forecasting, and quasi-experiments. This position will also supervise junior staff members in the CDIP evaluation unit including activities related to team performance and quality assurance/quality improvement.
