The CTSI Training Curriculum Program offers a multidisciplinary effort to provide educational opportunities for advanced training in clinical research. In Track 1, there is the option of attending isolated workshops. Track 2 and Track 3 are formally structured certificate and degree programs, respectively. The UCLA Pathway in Clinical and Translational Research is a certificate program available to first- and second-year UCLA medical students.

Looking for a mentor?  Check the CTSI Directory and the David Geffen School of Medicine Directory.

The goals of these educational opportunities are to enable fellows and faculty to:

  • Design and conduct clinical research (clinical trials and observational studies) and to successfully compete for funding (e.g. NIH K23 or RO1's in Clinical Research)
  • Analyze the data and interpret the results of their research
  • Present their research at scientific meetings and in the medical literature
  • Critique and interpret the research of others
